Healthy Coleslaw Recipe - Ingredients and instructions on how to make Perfect Coleslaw

Try this salad recipe healthy, light cuisine and dress your charcoal to a very different flavor than the typical coleslaw. Rape is a very nutritious vegetable, but a little 'bit of a softening up and makes it much more friendly and more likely to be digested.

Walnuts add a little 'of protein and omega-3 fats, which makes it a meal salad. Apples add a little 'sweetness that fits with Indian spices. If you want to try a little 'more than sweetnesscinnamon, and if you're a spicy try adding cayenne pepper. A small amount of coconut oil and a bit 'of lemon juice to make a vegan version is much healthier than traditional coleslaw mayonnaise-based dressing.

Healthy Coleslaw Recipe Ingredients

1 / 2 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon coconut oil
2 cups chopped cabbage (half a medium head)
1 medium apple, sliced
1 / 4 cup walnuts, chopped
1 cupcarrot, grated
Chopped fresh coriander
1 teaspoon cumin
1 tsp turmeric
1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
1 lemon or lime juice

Healthy Coleslaw Recipe Directions

Place a large pot over medium heat, add coconut oil. Mix the onion with the oil and fry until they are soft and transparent.
Add the cabbage, stir to cover with a little 'oil and cook until it begins to wilt. September the.applein these slices, and cook a few minutes, then the walnuts.
Put the grated carrots in the next, they move, then add the fresh coriander and spices. If you do not like cilantro, or can not find, you can also use parsley or fresh basil or flat. Make sure the spices to get moved by coating the vegetables evenly.

perfect recipe for cold days - beef and pork stuffed cabbage Rolls

As we head into the fall my mind goes immediately to the delicious dishes that I like, but not subject to hot days. There's only one thing 100 + degree days, which makes a quick meal to go. But once the days get cooler, I like the output of what I call my cooler recipes (note I did not say cool or cold) days. These cabbage rolls one of them. The combination of beef and pork make these special roles. Try them for a quick old-fashioned comfortmeal.

Beef and pork stuffed cabbage rolls

1 medium to large-scale cultivation
1 pound lean ground beef
1 pound lean pork
3 / 4 cup rice, uncooked
2 onions 1 small onion, chopped
salt
pepper
1 tablespoon dill
1 / 2 liter of sour cream
3 tablespoons flour
1 small can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar *

Remove core from cabbage, place cabbage in a large pot of boiling water. Scaldingcabbage to peel the petals one by one. Place the leaves on a paper towel or clean towel to drain.

Mix ground beef, ground pork, rice, onion, salt and pepper. Place bit 'of mixture onto each cabbage leaf, with cabbage leaves enough for the introduction of the mixture, fashion bag, secure with toothpicks.

Place cabbage rolls in a pan and cover with boiling water. Add the dill in water andBring water to a boil. Bake rolls for 1 hour. Remove the bread from the pan with a slotted spoon. In a medium bowl, stir together sour cream, flour, tomato sauce, 1 teaspoon of salt and sugar. Stir the mixture into the pan when you remove the cabbage rolls. After the mixture is well blended into one, add the cabbage rolls back into the pan and cook for about 10 minutes.

Diabetics can enjoy this recipe, replacing the sugar with 2 tablespoons Splendagranular form.

Hoosier-Style Vegetable Casseroles, and They Are Perfect For Diabetics Too

I grew up in the Midwestern State of Indiana. My family, along with all our neighbors, always had big vegetable gardens. There was nothing better than going out to the garden, picking fresh vegetables and having them for dinner. In the winter, we still enjoyed the fruits of our labors as we enjoyed the vegetables we canned or froze during the summer. Maybe that is why I love vegetables and casseroles so much. If you are also one who enjoys vegetables and/or casseroles, here are a couple of Hoosier casserole recipes that you will no doubt enjoy. Give these recipes a try and give your family a treat!

ZUCCHINI CASSEROLE HOOSIER STYLE

3 cups raw sliced zucchini
=
1 1/2 cups fine Italian-flavored cracker crumbs

3 eggs, beaten

1/2 cup melted butter

1/4 tsp salt, optional

1 cup low-fat milk

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 med green bell pepper, chopped

1 small red bell pepper, chopped

1 med onion, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Pour into a baking dish that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.

HOOSIER BAKED CABBAGE

1 head cabbage

1 small jar Cheeze Whiz

1 can cream of celery soup

butter

Salt and Pepper to taste

2 cups Club Cracker crumbs

Cook cabbage in salted water until tender. Melt Cheeze Whiz in a small amount of water. In a 9 x 13-inch baking pan, layer half the cabbage, cheese, and soup. Repeat the process. Top with the cracker crumbs and dot with butter. Bake in a 350 degree oven for twenty minutes.
