How to Enjoy a Diet With Delicious Weight Loss Recipes

For most people the idea of a diet means to stop eating everything you like and start eating everything you don't. Even though this idea is changing, it is still the first thing that pops into someone's head when you mention a weight loss diet.

This idea that diet recipes have to taste bad to be good for you would have to be the biggest contributor to people giving up on their weight loss plan.

But you can lose weight and continue to enjoy your food. It's just a matter of recognizing the harmful ingredients in your diet and replacing them with a healthier alternative.

As an example, if you usually have toasted white bread and jam for breakfast with a cup of coffee try multigrain bread with honey and a cup of mint or lemongrass tea instead. (Don't turn your nose up at the herbal tea - you have eaten mints and lemons before haven't you?)

When you are baking substitute a sweetener for sugar, there are some good, natural ones on the market today that don't leave that funny taste in your mouth, and try using coconut or rice flour instead of white. You can still have chocolate cake, it's not the cocoa in the recipe but the amount of sugar used that does the damage. Make sure you substitute a sweetener.

You don't have to eat a stick of celery instead of your usual snacks. If you used to snack on chips, try rice crackers instead. Or if you ate a lot of candy, try strawberries, blueberries or pineapple pieces.

So don't put off losing weight because you think all diets are celery and lettuce. With the right weight loss recipes you won't even know you are on a diet.
