Portuguese recipes

Portugal is a country relatively isolated in Europe. It shares its only land border with Spain. It 's also a nation with a very long and rich maritime tradition, and many links with the rest of the world. As a result, the Portuguese cuisine is totally different from other European countries, and is influenced by contacts with the East Indies, Far East, Africa and the New World. Portuguese cuisine is known for its extensive use of fish and seafood (including cod)as the use of spices, the taste of many dishes to grow.

Some foods popular in Portugal include:

* Cozido à Portuguesa - This is a traditional Irish stew. It is usually with beef or pork, chicken, but sometimes can be used. Portuguese sausage is usually used for the recipe, such as cabbage, carrots, potatoes, turnips and rice.
