Garden Patch Soup Recipe

Every summer draws to a close, I find myself looking forward to warm the kitchen and fill the house with wonderful aromas of soups and stews.

And 'nice change our meal planning from lighter summer menu with traditional foods fall. Eating seasonally is enjoying certain foods when they are at their most mature and fresher. Autumn is the peak of the harvest season for many fruits and vegetables.

This soup is nutritious and full of tasty vegetables. It 'been a customer restaurant soup for more than twenty years. That's right. For over 20 years of my restaurant customers have counted on this soup present every year in autumn. The restaurant has never ceased to serve customers favorite recipes.

Patch Garden Soup
Preparation time: 30 minutes. Serves 8-10.

Ingredients:

1 pounds lean beef

1 onion, chopped

2 liters of water

2 1 / 2 tablespoons au jus seasoning mix (or to taste)

2 1 / 2 tablespoons taco seasoning mix

2 1 / 4 teaspoon chili powder

14 ounces canTomatoes, chopped

7 ounces of tomato sauce

8 ounces whole kernel corn or 8 ounces of liquid can with 3 cups of vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, zucchini, peppers, celery or whatever you have available)

1 / 3 cabbage (1 1 / 2 cups), coarsely chopped

8 ounces can drained beans, rinsed and (or even Chili)

Instructions:

Bring to boil water in a pot

While the water heatingBrown the ground beef and onions in the pan

If the water comes to boil, add all ingredients, tomatoes, tomato sauce, corn liquid, beans and vegetables of your choice

Drain meat mixture and add the meat in the pot

Bring to a boil and cook until vegetables are crisp tender

Add the cabbage and remove the soup from the heat

Let stand for a few minutes to cook cabbage

Correct the seasoning
