Russian Recipes

Russia is home to a rich variety of recipes. This includes peasant food, dishes influenced by the Persian and Ottoman cuisine and French cuisine influences arising during the period of Czarist Russian nobility was heavily influenced by French culture.

Some popular Russian recipes include:

* Borshch - A vegetable soup made from beets to be added. Cabbages, potatoes or meat may optionally.

* Okroshka - a cold soup made with kvass (a traditionalRussian bread drink). Meat, fish or vegetables can be used in the preparation of the broth and black pepper, mustard or sweet and sour cucumber are used to the taste of the dish.

* Shi - Soup. Cabbages Carrots, meat, parsley and spices are added. Apples, water or brine sour cream (Smetana) can also be used to the taste of the dish.

* Soljanka - A spicy soup thick with fish, meat or mushrooms. pickled cucumbers are used in the pot, and, usually, cabbage, cream, dill andfungi.

* Blini - thin pancakes that can be completed with caviar and sour cream (Smetana).

* Katlyeti - meatloaves roast meat of beef or pork.

* Studen - gelatine pork or veal. Can be served cold with garlic and sour cream (Smetana), or as a topping for other dishes.

* Stoganoff Manzo - beef fried in a sauce of sour cream.

* Veal Prince Orloff - braised veal slices, mushrooms and onions with mashed between the sections. The dish isops with topped with bechamel (white sauce) and cheese, and brown in an oven.

* Charlotte Russe - a dessert made with the introduction of Bavarian cream (cream-flavored liquor) on top of lady fingers (small, light sweet).
